Spring Boot Application

First you create a maven project in eclipse

you can create it with the following way:

Go to New --> Other --> Select Maven Project --> Give group id and artifact id  --> Finish 

Note : Both Artifact Id and Group Id should be same.

Now you can see the following structure.

Now in the pom.xml you need to add the dependencies:

				<artifactId>spring-boot-maven-plugin</artifactId>
			</plugin>

</project>

This project includes a auto created Java file. This Java file provides entry point for the application.

  public static void main(String[] args) {
    SpringApplication.run(App.class, args);
  }
}

//TestController.java

import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RestController;

@RestController
public class TestController {
  @RequestMapping("/")
  public String home() {
    return "Hello World!";
  }
}

Now ,you can run it with the help of the following image:

localhost:8080
